Chevrolet intends to have your mechanical back.<\/p>\n<p>The Chevrolet Certified Service Rescue Squad will be cruising Woodward Avenue on Saturday, August 17<sup>th<\/sup> to help keep things moving by lending an assist to\u00a0 beautiful classic cruisers that stall, overheat or run out of gas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s called the \u2018The Dream Cruise\u2019, but an overheated engine, a drained battery, or a flat tire can turn that dream into a nightmare for enthusiasts whose countdown clock to Woodward starts the day it ends,\u201d said Steve Walczak, Chevrolet Certified Service marketing manager. \u201cNo one wants to breakdown or cause \u2018The Dream Traffic Jam,\u2019 so Chevrolet Certified Service technicians will be assisting cruisers with minor issues that can be easily remedied.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/v8passion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Woodward_RescueSquad_Side-600.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-2451 aligncenter\" alt=\"Woodward_RescueSquad_Side-600\" src=\"http:\/\/v8passion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Woodward_RescueSquad_Side-600.jpg\" width=\"540\" height=\"257\" srcset=\"https:\/\/v8passion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Woodward_RescueSquad_Side-600.jpg 600w, https:\/\/v8passion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Woodward_RescueSquad_Side-600-130x61.jpg 130w, https:\/\/v8passion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Woodward_RescueSquad_Side-600-400x190.jpg 400w, https:\/\/v8passion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Woodward_RescueSquad_Side-600-150x71.jpg 150w, https:\/\/v8passion.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/Woodward_RescueSquad_Side-600-160x76.jpg 160w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a>Stats compiled by last year\u2019s Chevrolet Certified Service Rescue Squad point to a few key items to which cruisers should pay special attention before they hit the road with their classics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Battery \u2013 make sure the battery is charged, the terminals are clean and check for wear or aging of the alternator belt and distributor cap.<\/li>\n<li>Fluids \u2013 check fluid levels to make sure the vehicle is ready to operate for several hours and have extra to top it off when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Gas \u2013 fill it up and top it off before embarking on the journey.
