{"id":2647,"date":"2013-10-16T20:44:00","date_gmt":"2013-10-17T01:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/v8passion.com\/?p=2647"},"modified":"2013-10-16T20:44:00","modified_gmt":"2013-10-17T01:44:00","slug":"mopar-goes-with-a-challenger-for-sema","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/v8passion.com\/en\/news-vehicules-v8-passion-magazine\/mopar-goes-with-a-challenger-for-sema\/","title":{"rendered":"Mopar Goes With a Challenger For SEMA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chrysler Group LLC released an image of its new limited-edition Mopar \u201914, which will debut at next month\u2019s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur new Mopar \u201914 will instantly resonate with enthusiasts,\u201d said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC\u2019s service, parts and customer-care brand. \u201cThis limited-edition ride is for muscle-car fans who love high octane and customizable performance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new Mopar \u201914 will be one of 20 customized vehicles on display in the brand\u2019s 15,300 square-foot exhibit. The limited-edition vehicle follows the Mopar \u201910 Challenger, Mopar \u201911 Charger, Mopar \u201912 300, and Mopar \u201913 Dart. In addition to custom vehicles, the brand will showcase new Jeep Performance Parts from its newly created Mopar Off-Road Division.<\/p>\n<p>The SEMA Show runs Nov. 5-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.<\/p>\n<p>More than 75 Years of Mopar<\/p>\n<p>Mopar (a simple contraction of the words Motor and PARts) was trademarked for antifreeze product in 1937. The Mopar brand made its mark in the 1960s \u2013 the muscle-car era. The former Chrysler Corporation built race-ready Dodge and Plymouth \u201cpackage cars\u201d equipped with special high-performance parts. Mopar carried a line of \u201cspecial parts\u201d for super-stock drag racers and developed its racing parts division called Mopar Performance Parts to enhance speed and handling for both road and racing use.
