The Atlantic Nationals is the major event when speaking of classic car show in the Maritimes.
Almost 2,000 cars showed up in the Moncton area for this annual automotive feast. And this year, not typical of the maritimes, weather was cooperating! In spite of bad forecasts early in the events’ week, the sun came in and the event happened in what can almost be called a heat wave.
The official event name is Annual Atlantic Nationals Automotive Extravaganza and was held July 11 to 14 in Moncton, New-Brunswick. Extravaganza refers to the variety of cars found, as well as the variety of activities: cruise along scenic roads in the Moncton area; meet-up on the Main with the downtown core closed-off for the event; followed by two days of show in Centennial Park. All of this is intermingles with a great dose of Atlantic hospitality and various BBQs and non-official meet-ups in the area.
