November 1st to 3rd was time again for the traditional Toronto Fall Classic Car Auction 2013 held by Dan Spendicks’s Collector Car Productions Inc. team.
As usual, the event offered some very interesting classic cars, ranging from a clean 1948 Chrysler Town & Country Woody Convertible to a trio of high-quality Hot Rods as well as the star of the event’s catalogue, a 1 of 69 built COPO 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1.
The 1948 Chrysler Town & Country Woody Convertible is still for sale, reaching a highest bid of $135,000.00, while a red 1932 Ford Roadster Convertible sold for $61,600.00.
As expected, the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL-1, known as lot SP122, was the highest sale, reaching $178,750.00. By comparison, lot SP116 , a black 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Tribute, did not sell with bids reaching $52,500.00.
Cars offered were not just high-priced items, quite the opposite. A very clean 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe, lot SP38, sold for $13,750.00 while lot SP21, a very solid 1972 Buick Riviera sporting 51,000 Original Miles and working air conditioning, sold for $17,600.00.
For those wanting to enter the classic car market without breaking the bank, nice lower priced vehicles could be had, like lot 161, a 1966 Mercury Park Lane Convertible selling for $4,400.00; lot 119, a white 1967 Ford Mustang with a rebuilt 289 selling for $7,370.00; or lot SP142, a 41,000 original miles 1965 Ford Thunderbird Landau selling for $7,150.00.
